Hello Friends! Sorry for the delay in posting, I wish I could say I was off gallivanting but mainly my evenings have been full of planning trips for the weekends ahead (BALI!!!). Anywho, the weekend came and I spent it wandering around- without a doubt some of the coolest architecture I have ever seen! Saturday I went down to the Merlion/Marina Bay Area. The Merlion statue is Singapore's trademark landmark (it aint got nothing on the Golden Gate though). I watched a bit of a rugby match which to me looks like a playground game, went to the famous Raffles Hotel where the Singapore Sling was created (I passed up having one, it was $26). Sunday I decided to head to Little Arab, but it was kind of a bust since most places were closed. There is a cool mosque there but I didn't feel like borrowing their loner robes to cover up (I can't even imagine how many sweaty tourists have been in those!). I'll go back sometime when the stores are open and I've got a long skirt on. Then I rode the bus all the way to the end of its line. My original plan was to go to the rooftop pool but when the rain started I decided to ride the bus instead...haha equal tradeoff? The buses are super clean here too (don't worry Jen, if you visit you won't need any bus pants). That night I brought some guys I met at the pool up to the executive lounge and then we went to Black Angus. I didn't know it wasn't a chain on the East Coast...they're missing out. The guys paid for it, insisting it was a business dinner with associates- so if anyone asks I work for Honeywell repairing helicopter engines.
As for my workload, well, it's a bit on the mindless side. I scan things and refile things from large binders to those of even dimensions....I guess it makes the file cabinet look super snazzy?? I'm sure technical work will be coming my way soon when they figure out I'm a superstar. To kill time on my hour long commute, I've been rocking out some KenKen puzzles. Below is one that was a full 20-minute train ride stumper. Solve it, email it back to me and I'll bring you back a keychain!!! (only because I hear you can get 36/$10 in Chinatown and I'm sure I have that many kenken fanatic blog followers...hahaha, I crack myself up). I'll pause while you scramble to get a pen and paper....
I hate it when I run into someone sightseeing in the same outfit as me....
